The consumer electronics trade show CES 2023 saw the debut of the ROG STRIX XG49WCR display, which was created by the Taiwanese company ASUS. The diagonal measurement of the ultra-wide curved screen is 49 inches, and it possesses a resolution of 5120 by 1440 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 32:9. A single monitor now boasts two screens measuring 27 inches each and having a resolution of 1440 pixels per inch. Because the display on the monitor has a curvature of 1800R, it wraps around the edge of your field of vision and makes it possible for you to view every detail clearly.

The large display itself has a relatively high refresh rate of 165Hz, which is supported by both NVIDIA and AMD technology. Adaptive sync for VRR is also supported by both companies' hardware. Two extra features are included, the first being an expanded color gamut that is 125% sRGB and the second being factory calibration with dE 2.

A DisplayPort 1.4 connector, an HDMI 2.0 connector, a USB type-C connector, USB data ports, and even an Ethernet socket are among the possible connectors. Because it is equipped with an RJ45 socket, the XG49WCR may also be used as a laptop dock, enabling users to connect to a network with just a single connection using the USB-C standard. USB type-C can take up to 65 watts of electricity when used for charging from the other direction. As a result, it will provide power to your laptop while also accepting a display signal and attaching you to the monitor's built-in USB hub as well as the devices that are linked with it.

By utilising only the keyboard and mouse, the Smart KVM switch that is integrated into the display makes it possible for the user to move between two connected devices in a prompt and uncomplicated manner. When you move your cursor from one side of the screen to the other on a ROG Strix XG49WCR monitor, you no longer have to manually switch inputs since the monitor is equipped with Smart KVM technology.

There have been whispers that ASUS's ROG STRIX XG49WCR Monitor will be made available in the second quarter at a price of about 1199 Euros.
