The Motorola Moto Watch 200 is getting closer after being discovered in the FCC's database. The Moto Watch 200 differs from the Moto Watch 100 from a year ago in that it is rectangular and has a flat display, among other things. Motorola appears to be getting ready to introduce both circular and rectangular watches. Images of both variations of the speculated Moto Watch 200 have surfaced.
Detailed Information
Now that Motorola no longer falls under Google but rather Lenovo, it appears the Moto Watch 200 smartwatch is ready to be released. This was validated by recently leaked transparent press material and is supported by an official certification (MOSWZ200) made at the US FCC (Federal Communications Commission) on October 13.
The Moto Watch 200 still had a square display at the FCC. However, this need not ultimately be a contradiction. Because it is entirely possible that Motorola will release the smartwatch in two different shapes—a round and a square—at launch. By doing this, one may appeal to more potential customers who either want an angular wristwatch akin to the Apple Timepiece or a circular one in the style of a vintage watch.
Although it is organized differently because of the shape of the display, the user interface provided by the current leak has a striking resemblance to the pictures from the FCC. The smartwatch's name and a mention of a heart rate sensor are written in the same letters on the rear. The smartwatch is charged wirelessly, and the charging adapter is offset to the side, as can be inferred from the FCC schematic, which is also shown in the second new image. The dark hues of the casing and the strap match exactly.
Features
The Moto Watch 200 is a Motorola smartwatch merely in name, similar to the Moto Watch 100. In order to create the Moto Watch 200, Motorola collaborated with eBuyNow, which is why the FCC listing was submitted under the latter rather than the former.
The Moto Watch 200, in contrast to its predecessor, sports a rectangular display.
In contrast to custom, the FCC shared the Moto Watch 200's box art in order to share images of the product before it is officially released.
The Moto Watch 200 is 5 ATM water resistant, features two physical buttons, and a rapid change method for changing watch bands.
The smartwatch also contains GPS, heart rate tracking features, and a magnetic charging ring.
The Moto Watch 200 has an aluminum case and supports Bluetooth Low Energy.
This watch's strange quality is that it has recently been identified with both a round and a square case.
Release Date & Price
Unfortunately, it's unclear when the Moto Watch 200 will be released or whether its US$99.99 price will equal that of its predecessor.
