Here's a fast way to check the status of your AirPods or AirPods Pro's battery

You just bought a pair of AirPods or AirPods Pro, and now you're trying to figure out how to get the most out of them. After a full day of use, you may be curious about how much battery life they still have. Your iPhone, iPad, or Mac may serve as a convenient battery checker for your AirPods.

Tips for measuring the remaining power in your AirPods or AirPods Pro:

There are a few different methods that you may check the amount of power that is still remaining in your AirPods or AirPods Pro. It won't take more than a few seconds to finish no matter which method you choose to use.

IPhone or iPad

Before checking the remaining battery life on your AirPods, make sure they are already paired with your iPhone or iPad and that Bluetooth is enabled on your device. When you're ready to listen to audio on your iPhone or iPad, all you have to do is open the AirPods case, set the earbuds inside, and bring the case near the device. When you're ready to see how much power your AirPods have left, you need just wait a few seconds.

  • Check to see that the Bluetooth feature on your iPhone or iPad is turned on.
  • Control Center and the Settings menu both provide access to this feature.
Here's a fast way to check the status of your AirPods or AirPods Pro's battery
  • Open the case while holding it close to the iPhone or iPad. This will keep the AirPods safe within the case.
  • Your mobile should display a pop-up notification informing you of the remaining battery life of both the AirPods and their case.

You will get a notice on the display of your iPhone or iPad when the battery life of your AirPods is becoming incredibly low. You will be notified at the 20, 10, and 5% mark respectively. When the battery charge is becoming low, either one or both of your AirPods will make a beeping sound. When the battery charge reaches 10%, a tone will sound to let you know that it's time to charge it again. A second time, just before the AirPods are turned off, it will go off again.

Seeking to make advantage of the power widget?

The Batteries widget is particularly useful if you want to check the remaining battery life of your AirPods while you're using them. The widget displays the status of your iPhone's battery as well as any accessories, like as your AirPods that are currently attached to your iPhone. Slide your iPhone or iPad's home screen to the right, then press Edit at the bottom of the screen to access the widget. Select the plus sign (+) in the upper right corner. Proceed to the Widgets menu and choose the Battery icon. The widget may be resized and moved around the screen as desired.

Mac

A Mac may also be used to see the battery life of your AirPods.

  • Launch your AirPods by opening the case or removing them.
  • To activate Bluetooth on your Mac, choose it from the menu bar's Bluetooth icon.
  • To access your AirPods settings, just move the mouse cursor over the AirPods icon. Estimated time left on battery will be shown.

Is there a battery life indicator on the AirPods case?

Yeah, kind of. Either your AirPods case or the AirPods inside are completely charged when the LED light on the front of your case flashes green. However, if the light indicator is orange, it means that they need more charging time.
