The business on Wednesday revealed the Tecno Megabook S1 laptop. The company unveiled information about its flagship notebook at a global launch event for the Tecno Phantom X2 line of smartphones. The Megabook S1 is
Tecno's second attempt to break into the laptop market; the company based in Shenzhen first introduced the Megabook T1 in September. The laptop has a 12th-generation Intel processor, 16 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB of SSD storage. The 1.35 kg slim and light notebook has a magnesium alloy body.

At IFA, Tecno unveiled its first laptop; now, the company is releasing the more expensive Tecno MegaBook S1. This laptop is incredibly tiny and light, with a thickness of 13.5mm (0.53") and a weight of 1.35kg (2.97lbs). Even though it is quite small for a 15.6" laptop, the magnesium alloy construction gives it a robust shell.
The 15.6" screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio and 3.2K resolution. This panel is of exceptional quality with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage. It also has a decent amount of brightness for a laptop, hitting 450 nits, and uses DC dimming to eliminate flicker.
An 11th-generation Intel processor was used in the MegaBook T1 a few months ago. The 12th generation Core i7 (35W TDP) with dual-fan cooling is upgraded in the S1. You may choose between 512GB and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSDs for storage, and RAM is 16GB in both cases (LPDDR5).
Even though it is lightweight, the laptop has a 70Wh battery. It charges using one of its two USB-C connections and the 65W GaN charger that is provided. Two USB-A ports, a full-size HDMI port, a 3.5mm jack, and a microSD card reader are also included. The MegaBook S1 has exclusive Tecno features and Windows 11 out of the box. With NFC, for instance, you can easily pair your Tecno phone and use the OneLeap feature to watch its screen on the laptop display.
Design & Display
The just-announced Megabook S1 has a 15.6-inch display, just like the Megabook T1. The former was introduced in the color options of Champagne Gold, Monet Violet, Rome Mint, and Space Grey. However, Tecno has not yet disclosed color possibilities for the Megabook S1.
The clear, color-accurate display promises a wonderful multimedia experience, and the speakers deliver on that promise. Tecno was able to fit six speakers and incorporated DTS:X Ultra support. For calls, there are two onboard microphones with AI-powered noise cancellation. The built-in webcam's AI capabilities can detect a peek over your shoulder, which can also blank the screen.
Pricing
512GB storage costs $1,500, and 1TB storage costs $1,600 for the Tecno MegaBook S1. These prices are equivalent to €1,425/$123,500 and €1,520/$131,500, respectively.
