It was rumored that Apple was working on a low-cost pencil for consumers that was given the codename "Marker." Reports indicate that Apple has abandoned its plans to introduce the Apple pencil during the iPhone maker's greatest yearly event, which was scheduled to take place in September 2023. This event was to have been Apple's biggest ever. The Apple pencil concept may have benefited from the inclusion of a charging connection that is compatible with USB Type-C as well as a lightning cable. There have been no official remarks issued by the company on this product. According to a tweet posted on the Chinese social media site Weibo, Apple is said to be working on a more wallet-friendly version of the Apple Pencil that would have iPhone communication and charging through a USB type-C connector. iPad users would need to fork out an extra $9 for a dongle in order to charge the current Apple Pencil since it is powered by a lightning cable. On the other hand, the company's affordable iPad Wi-Fi now uses a USB type-C interface.
Report Suggests that Apple May Have Plans to Launch Affordable Pencil
According to many reports, Apple has decided to cancel its product launch plans for 2023. According to rumors, Apple's codename for the rumored $50 (about Rs. 4,100) Apple Pencil that was in development was "The Marker." According to the information presented in the article, Apple may have been able to reduce the price of the Apple Pencil by removing some components, such as the pressure sensing technology and an internal battery. Following in the footsteps of Samsung's S-Pen models, the maker of the iPhone made the decision to create a chip that would be used to power the pen through the connected screen. This was done in an effort to compete with the S-Pen models. However, in order to determine whether or not these rumors are true, we may have to wait until Apple's event in September of the following year. This is due to the fact that the company has not yet made any official statements regarding the introduction or postponement of the more affordable Apple Pencil.
