Rumors claims to be Apple developing a 16-inch iPad

By Mahnoor Mushtaq - Oct 27, 2022

Apple recently introduced new iPad Pro models powered by the company's M2 chip. Most of the time, not much changed, so it was just a ho-hum release for some. Apple is working on a significant (literally) iPad project. It has been rumored that a 16-inch version of the company's well-known tablet is being developed and might be released as early as next year. Apple has been putting a lot of effort into improving its hardware over the past year and, more crucially, updating its software further to blur the distinction between mobile and computer devices. Stage Manager, a brand-new multitasking function, was eventually added in iPadOS 16.1, the most recent version, to enhance the performance of the compatible iPads. Although it's a fantastic start, many people believe this isn't how things will proceed in the future. However, there is always space for improvement, and since it's simply software, Apple has endless time to do so.

Detailed Information & Features

The Information through The Verge claims that Apple is currently developing a larger 16-inch iPad variant. In the past, there have been rumors that Apple was developing iPads with screens as large as 14.1 inches and 15 inches. This could become one of the giant tablets available if the latest report is accurate. The initial report said it would come in the fourth quarter of 2023, so we have a significant amount of time until it makes its retail appearance. One can only speculate how much the top-of-the-line 16-inch iPad will cost, but one can be sure that it will be near or perhaps more expensive than Apple's current laptops.

Release

Apple plans to release a 16-inch iPad by the end of 2023. It would "further blur the boundary between the iPad and MacBook," according to Wayne Ma of The Information. This supports earlier news from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who mentioned that Apple was working on larger iPads.
