Samsung has published the official Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update for the Galaxy S22
, Galaxy S22+
, and Galaxy S22 Ultra
. This comes after a few months of testing the beta version of One UI 5.0. Now, the firm has provided details on the One UI 5.0 upgrade rollout plan for Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
In November, Samsung claims that its flagship phones and tablets will get the One UI 5.0 upgrade, which is based on the stable Android 13. In December 2022, Samsung will provide an upgrade for some of its older flagship and midrange Galaxy smartphones. In January of 2023, One UI 5.0 will be made available on a wider variety of mid-range smartphones and tablets.
Before rolling out One UI 5.0 worldwide, Samsung put the Galaxy S22 family through a two-month beta testing. The purpose of the program was to gather user input and test the new software. Currently, it is putting One UI 5.0 through its tests on a wide variety of Galaxy flagships, including every foldable phone it has released since the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Before the end of the year, we anticipate that Samsung will provide the Android 13 upgrade to all of its 2021 and 2022 flagships (and at least one mid-range phone). We have prepared a list of devices that have gotten the stable One UI 5.0 upgrade, which you can peruse down below.
