A longstanding brand with a broad devoted fanbase around the globe, Oppo has been building quality devices for many years. The ever-thriving company is always striving to achieve its maximum goal, to manufacture the latest and user-friendly products. This time, Oppo has put great efforts into addressing the biggest concern of foldable phone users. One of the significant reasons people feel reluctant to buy a foldable device includes its heavy weight. This heaviness of foldable phones makes them difficult to carry in a pocket. Thus, eventually making them home gadgets even when it isn't intended to be only used at home.
Oppo allegedly endeavors to cater to this need by releasing the lightest horizontal foldable phone, Oppo Find N2. The phone is said to arrive before this year ends with better quality in a slimmer foldable device. Ice Universe, a renowned source of tech rumors, revealed that the device would weigh around 240 grams. This weight is almost 15% less than the previous model.

The upcoming foldable device is expected to have a 7.1-inch AMOLED large display screen with a resolution of 1792 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 370 PPI. The smartphone seems to arrive with a Punch hole display and 1000 nits’ peak brightness within the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus to boost its durability.
The foldable phone would come with three color options that include black, white, and purple. But some leaked sources revealed that it would have more vibrant colors. The device would support dual nano-SIM. Unfortunately, there won’t be any dust or water resistance, so a consumer should use it carefully to avoid inconvenience.
As an upcoming Oppo smartphone, the phone is expected to have a triple camera unit with a primary sensor of 50 MP wide angle, 48 ultrawide secondary, and 32 MP 2x optical zoom telephoto. The device would feature dual-tone flash, HDR, and panorama. The video recording quality is also competitive at 4K@30/60fps and 1080p@30/60fps. The smartphone would also arrive with a fine-quality selfie camera with a 32 MP wide angle.
The smartphone would be powered on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Pls Gen 1 chipset with upgraded internals. The foldable phone would run on the Operating System of Android 13 with a GPU of Adreno 730 while having a memory of 12 GB RAM. Nonetheless, we hope to have more configurations on arrival since it does not have a card slot.
The smartphone seems to arrive with a Li-Po battery capacity of 4500mAh with expectations of fast charging up to 67W. The battery would be nonremovable and support 15W wireless charging to increase productivity and extend battery backup.
It would support a face unlock and a side fingerprint print scanner to assure security. The device would be notably lighter than the prevailing foldable smartphones, including Huawei Mate X2, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, and the Vivo X-Fold+.
