Vivo manufactures competitive smartphones with commendable specifications and magnificent camera sensors. The ever-striving company never ceases to be in the prevailing rumors for one thing or the other. This time the reason for a part of the news in the tech industry is that it quietly launched Vivo V21s 5G smartphone in Taiwan. Tech geeks are curious because Vivo has already released the V23 and V25 Pro series. There is no official statement to justify the act, and we have another smartphone from the existing V21 series with improved specifications.

Here's everything from the core specifications, features, and design, to the purpose behind the V21s 5G launch long after the launch of V21 series.

Vivo 21s 5G Notable Features and Core Specs:

  • The smartphone arrives with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display panel with an FHD+ resolution of 2404 x 1080 pixels rather than an HDR+ resolution option. It also has a comparatively lower refresh rate of 90Hz. As for the display specs, the smartphone most likely seems to be a mid-range model.
  • It has an approx. Weight of 177 grams and measures up to 159.68 x 73.90 x 7.29mm.
  • Vivo 21s is powered by an underwhelming processor of 800U MediaTek Dimensity. Even so, the chipset has decent performance but is not up to the mark of flagship models.
  • The operating system of the recently released model is Android 12, which is again not the latest version of the prevailing OS. This Android 12 is overlapped with FunTouch OS 12.
  • The smartphone has a single configuration with 8 GB of RAM with an internal capacity of 128 GB.
  • Vivo V21s 5G arrived with a triple camera sensor housed in a rectangular module with a LED flashlight. The primary camera sensor of 64 MP comes with OIS support, an 8 MP wide-angle secondary sensor, and a 2 MP macro camera. The highlighted feature of the model is its 44 MP front camera with OIS support for better clear selfies.

  • As for the battery, the smartphone has a 4,000mAh battery with the claims of 33W charging with a USB type-C charging port. This battery capacity lasts for almost a day or at least 18 hours. There aren’t any updates since the smartphone doesn’t support wireless charging.
  • The smartphone is packed with a dual nano-SIM option, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, and dual-band Wi-Fi. It has a dual loudspeaker with a 3.5mm headphone jack. And has two color options that include navy blue and multi-color.

Availability, Pricing, and Launch

Vivo V21s 5G can be bought for a sum of $370 US dollars from Taiwan. Vivo has not introduced significantly upgraded features besides a few minor improvements from the predecessor model, V21 5G. Furthermore, there is a minimal probability of its international launch. The company has launched the smartphone without any vital purpose, which is another excuse for not launching V21s 5G in the global market.
