Xiaomi is working on developing another series with the name Redmi K60 after the currently launched products at last month's event. Redmi K60, apparently a vanilla model, is said to be a gaming smartphone with the tentative name of Redmi K60 Gaming and presumably in its design verification process. Recently, a publication leaked the news that the previous gaming smartphone series Redmi K50, is going to be replaced with Redmi K60 while overcoming its predecessor's shortcomings. One more platform, Digital Chat Station, revealed this week that it is coming with an updated processor and improved specifications.

The smartphone is expected to arrive with a 6.67-inch OLED display size and a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels (~526 ppi density). The device is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a Dolby Vision display. The addition of Dolby Vision is extensively appreciated among tech enthusiasts since it leads to a great user experience. The display will apparently support QHD+ with peak brightness up to 1200 nits. The weight and dimensions are uncertain. However, the model would come with dust and water resistance to some extent.

The upcoming smartphone is supposed to be powered by Android 12 and MIUI 13 since it hopefully will be an entry-level smartphone. According to the leaked news at Digital Chat Station, this device will run on a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 with an octa-core CPU. It would not contain a microSD card slot, but the phone will reportedly arrive with four internal configurations providing enough capacity for data. The quad storage variants include 128GB + 8GB RAM, 256GB + 8GB RAM, 256GB +12GB RAM, and 512GB + 12GB RAM.

As for the camera and sensors are concerned, Redmi will have a triple camera module with a primary camera of 48MP at a wide angle with a LED flashlight. The other two sensors are unknown, but rumors revealed they would be 8MP (ultrawide) and 2MP (macro) sensors while featuring HDR and panorama sensors. The video recording capacity is said to support 4K@30fps, 1080p@30/40/60/120fps. The front camera would be housed in a tear-drop unit with a 20MP wide-angle sensor. Moreover, the video recording capability of the selfie camera is similar to its rear camera videotaping.

Redmi K60 battery is expected to be a Li-Po 5500 mAh nonremovable battery. The device supports wireless charging along with wired charging. It does support up to 30W for wireless charging and 67W for wired charging via USB-C port.

Multiple rumors from various sources are coming up about adding a Dynamic Island smart option in the Redmi K60. As the tech giant Apple introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max. Additionally, a Redmi official asked on Weibo platform to the consumers whether they would consider having an advanced solution as a dynamic island. It might indicate that we would have a Redmi K60 gaming smartphone with an exciting Dynamic Island in the future.
