The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset-equipped next-generation flagship phones from Xiaomi are anticipated to be unveiled. Until now, rumors have given Xiaomi's upcoming flagship devices tentative names like the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. However, new Weibo data reveals that these gadgets may be dubbed the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro.
Xiaomi, a tech titan, has been preparing to introduce its new flagship series, the Xiaomi 13, in China. Although Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset has already been confirmed to power the flagship series, the series' moniker won't be Xiaomi 13 Series. According to recent reports, the business will skip 13 and name theirs following the Xiaomi series 14. The number "13" is thought to be unlucky in some cultures. Therefore it's possible that Xiaomi would omit it from its flagship models.
The Xiaomi 13 will soon become the Xiaomi 14, and the series could debut in December 2022. The image posted on Weibo suggests that the series will be called Xiaomi 14. It also confirms Xiaomi's cooperation with Leica for the flagship series, even though Xiaomi has yet to confirm the moniker officially.
The Xiaomi 14's specifications have also been made public. The model number for the vanilla version is 2211133C, which corresponds to the number seen in the 3C listing. The smartphone will run MIUI 14 on top of Android 13 out of the box and have up to 12GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, clocked at 3.2GHz, will power the Xiaomi 14. Previous leaks of the vanilla model's design suggested that the phone would have a camera module with a square form. The primary sensor will be a 50MP triple camera arrangement with LED flash on the rear. A 6.2-inch display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate will be visible on the front. The Xiaomi 14 is anticipated to come with a 5000mAh battery and 67W fast charging. In the upcoming week, Xiaomi will probably disclose the release date of its newest flagship devices.
